Systematic investigation was made on ectomycorrhiza in the woods of Larix gmelinii in north Daxing'anling area in the past two years. With the methord from morphological and anatomical characteristics to distinguish 15 different ectomycorrhizal types. Compre- hensive characteristics of 15 ectomycorrhizal types were described. On the basis of atlas, under stereomicroscope and microscope, the ramification, colour and rhizomorphs and emanating hyphae and so on, combining with some of characters of mantle, inner structure of rhizomorphs and the pattern of hyphae. Preliminary two types were identified, they were Cenococcum geophilum and Tomentella Pat.. And the influence of different logging ways on the changes of ectomycorrhizal types were analyzed, 11 ectomycorrhizal types were found in original forest, 9 ectomycorrhizal types were found in clear cutting forest, 6 ectomycorrhizal types were found in successive cutting forest. The results showed that the different logging ways played a significant role in ectomycorrhiza symbiosis types.The soil in all these plots were acetose, pH values were around 4.4. The pH values were not the main factor influenced the distribution of ectomycorrhiza fungus. Results of this research provided basic data to establish database of mycorrhiza resource and classification and identification. Technically the classifica- tion and identification in Larix gmelinii ectomycorrhiza tend to be mature.
