Studies On Endophytic Fungi Of Festuca Spp (F.ovina,F.stapfii)

In this paper,wildfestuca plants are the main experiment materials.5 genuses,14 species,1091 gramineous plant samples were detected,which belong to about 100 spots in 10 counties of Yunnan,Sichuan,Guizhou provinces.421 Festuca spp samples were found infected mycelium,with endophyte level of 67%.About one thousand seeds had been collented,in which 8 species have endophyte.90 isolates were isolated from Festuca ovina and Festuca stapfii,which cultured on MEA and MM plate to induce conidium and morphologically identified as Neotyphodium.typhinum and N.starrii. N.starrii was the first time to islated from Festuca stapfii.Through the fungistasis experiment,found N.typhinum,N.starrii had antagonistic action to Rhizoctonia solani,Pythium spp.The rate of antagonistic action of N.typhinum and N.starrii to Rhizoctonia solani and Pythium spp is 36.8%,59.1%,34.2%,43.2%.The rate of non-volatile metabolites of N.typhinum and N.starrii to Rhizoctonia solani and Pythium spp is 16.2%,18.4%,21.6%,26.7%.The volatile metabolites of N.typhinum, N.starrii have no antagonistic action to Rhizoctonia solani and Pythium spp.8 kinds of tall festuca including Millennium,Tripe A,Aridâ…¢,Eldorado,Crossfireâ…¡,Little Hero,Sun Boy,Fawn seed were selected as endophyte inoculum.Artificial inoculation was proceed by following 3 methods:seed slit,seedling injection,adult plant silt.Adult plant silt were failed for successful endophyte inoculation.The successful endophyte inoculation was achieved through seed silt and seedling injection.with inoculation efficiency of 2.1%and 2.5%respectively.Each kind of those tall festuca had achieved successfully endophyte inoculation,,with efficiency of 2%,1.20%,3.50%,5.20%,1.50%,0.50%,0.50%,5.70%.
