The objective of the present study was to study the seed germination,cultivation,aforestation and resistance of the introduced Pinus pinaster in China.It had been successfully introduced in China.The response of the introduced seedling of Pinus pinaster to the environmental factors in Shandong and Zhejiang province was studied in this study.The results showed that:(1) The appropriate conditons to improve seed germination rate of Pinus pisaster by orthogonal design were as followings,the substrate soil,non-mycorrhizae and irrigating once a day are key factors in the laboratory;covered with 1cm soil depth,irrigating once a day and the density of 800 numbers/m~2 were suitable combinations in the nursery.Concentration treatments of rooting powder with GGR (10mg/kg) had the highest seed germination rate.The salt resistance of the seeds of Pinus pisaster was stronger than Pinus thunbergii and Pinus densiflora.And the height growth of Pinus pisaster was significant higher than Pinus thunbergii and Pinus densiflora.What's more,Pinus pinaster and Pinus thunbergii both had the character of salt resistance,that is to say,chlorophyll content of the leaves decreased after salt stress treatments,and MDA content of the leaves increased after salt stress.(2) The seedlings of French provennances grew better than those of Spanish provennances.And the cold resistance of Pinus pinaster from France was found to be stronger than those from Spain.The non-container seedlings had higher values of total height and ground diameter growth than those in the container.However,the survival rate of container seedlings after aforestation was higher than that of non-container seedlings.And the cold resistance of the container seedlings was stronger than non-container seedlings.Meanwhile,the seedlings introduced to Zhejiang province have better performance than those to Shandong province.(3) Mycorrhizal did not have any effect on the seedlings of Pinus pinaster.The height growth of Pinus pinaster effected by nutrient soil(turfy soil,vermiculite and perlite mixed with the ratio of 4:1:1 and 8:1:1) was higher than CK,but not had significant difference.Furthemore,rooting power with GGR (10mg/kg) and ABT(40mg/kg) had significant effect on the height growth of Pinus pinaster than CK.(4) During the planting period,we found that Pinus pinaster has a strong capability to tolerate salinity and grows better in the slightly acidic soils with higher nutrient content.Pinus pinaster grew better in the city of Hai yang than Peng lai and Yan tai after forestation in different coastal zone in Shan dong province.Responses of the survival percentage of Five-year-old seedlings of Pinus pinaster after transplanting to solid water and mycorrhizal are remarkable,especially of the solid water with 60ml per day.
