Study On The Prunus Mume Landscape Design Of Urban Wetland Park

Taking a panoramic view of the application and research of Prunus mume Sieb. et Zucc landscape home and abroad, the forms were focused on Chinese classical gardens, P. mume hills, P. mume gardens and so on. However, the research of P. mume landscape planning and design of urban wetland park were not studied deeply. Therefore, in order to give an example for the wetland parks which were similar to Xixi, the P. mume landscape planning and design of Xixi national wetland park has been systematically studied by modern methods of landscape design. The main results of this study included 5 aspects :(1)Xixi P. mume originated from Fu-sheng temple in Song Dynasty. The evolution was from natural wild growth→the monks planted in temple gardens→the literati planted in private gardens→ordinary people planted for agricultural economy.(2)In the history, Xixi P. mume were mainly distributed in temple gardens, private gardens, hill valley areas, riversides islands, villages roadsides, etc. There were more than 100 pieces of praise poetry of Xixi P. mume, and it was divided into 2 departments, 2 categories, 6 types of Xixi P. mume in the history.(3)The layout of the overall planning of the P. mume landscape in Xixi national wetland park was"1 loop, 2 cinctures, 4 sections, 5 spots and several points". The typical P. mume landscape spots were divided into 5 categories, which were pond-riversides and islands type, literati private gardens-type, rural residential houses -type, temple-pavilions type, road-bridges type. Planting P. mume trees on islands,at pondsides and riversides can create P. mume landscape of pond-riversides and islands type. When planning and designing the other styles, every building monomer should choose traditional sculpt form to construct, and it also adopted the traditional configuration methods of P. mume landscape, combined with the characteristics of the times for proper modern interpretation.(4)Taking into account the historical traditions, in Xixi wetland park, the species of P. mume should take the white-flowers as basic species, such as Green- calyx type, Jiang-mei type, Yudie type, etc. And it was also needed pink and red flowers, just like Cinnabar type, Pink-palace type, Beauty-mei type, etc. The tree shapes of P. mume were divided into 2 categories, 12 types. The ancient stump type, oblate type, umbrella weeping type, curved trunk and tilt crown type were the main types to creat the P. mume landscape. The collocation plants of P. mume in wetland parks include 3 levels: the background plants, ground cover plants and aquatic plants.(5)The P. mume shore, P. mume bridge, P. mume island, P. mume beach, P. mume pond, P. mume embankment, P. mume pavilion, P. mume house, P. mume plank road and P. mume fence are the basic patterns of wetland P. mume landscape planning and design in Jiangnan area.
