Studies On Salt Stress Cross Adaptation Of Elytrigia Species

In order to reveal compensatory growth characteristics of salt stress and regularity of adversity cross adaptation. Elytrigia repens materials with sensitive stress adaptation was conducted on compensatory growth characteristics of salt stress, regularity of cross adaptation between salt stress and drought stress, regularity of cross adaptation between salt stress and low temperature stress at home and abroad.Compensatory growth was studied by salt stress of pretreatment. Correlation between growth index and physiological indexes was studied within the phenomenon of compensatory growth. The results indicated that phytomass (dry weight), soluble sugar and vitality index had significant or maximum significant positive correlation. Peroxidase activity, soluble protein content and vitality index were negatively correlated, but that were not significant. The chlorophyll content and vitality index was not significantly. So this kind of grasses compensation growth was mainly manifested in carbohydrates as basic material. Phytomass (dry weight), soluble sugar and vitality index can evaluate compensatory growth ability.The cross research result indicated that salt pretreatment adversity and drought adversity also existed the cross adaptive phenomenon. Four kinds of materials in different salt consistency range can enhance drought tolerance. Different grasses were differences among salt stress concentration of cross adaptation. Simple salt was not significant than complex salt. Different grass increasing strength was different in drought tolerance. Drought tolerance evaluation results indicated that adaptation effect of Elytrigia intermedia and Elytrigia elongata CV. Tyrell were higher than Elytrigia elongata CV. Alker and Elytrigia elongata CV. Jose. Physiological basis of cross adaptation results indicated the membrane permeability, soluble sugar, malonaldehyde and peroxidase activity of five physiological indexes had significant difference among different grass, but proline was not significant among different grass.The cross research result indicated that salt pretreatment adversity and low temperature adversity also existed the cross adaptive phenomenon.
