The Natural Populations of Sabina vulgaris inTaobao and Tuke of Mu Us Sandland were researched by line transect methods .The characters of 160 samples including 4 variation types were investigated, including the length of leaf, width of leaf, leaf shape, high, angle of ramification, internode length, length of fruit, width of fruit, fruit shape, number of fruit per unit area ,number of seed and growth in this year. The difference among groups and in groups were discussed by coefficient of variation and analysis of variance.Phenotypic variation of Sabina vulgaris came from individual in groups mainly. The difference among groups was small. The difference of angle of ramification, number of branch and internode length were significant in 4 variation types(p=0.05),while the difference of length, width, fruit shape, high were not significant. Following the difference in size, the order was angle of ramification, number of branch, internode length, high, length of leaf, leaf shape and width of leaf(from large to small).Morphological characteristics of fruit was studied. The result showed that the difference of number of fruit and number of seed were significant among 4 variation types(p=0.05),while the difference of length of fruit, width of fruit and fruit shape were all not significant.variation types of Sabina vulgaris can be distinguished according to angle of ramification, colour ,internode length and high, the difference of which were significant among samples(p=0.05) and no significant among different site conditions. The result of the compare of growth showed that the Sabina vulgaris with mignonette and creeping was the best. The average growth in this year was 10.14cm.The 4 variation types all have the application prospects extensively.
