On the basis of a large number of surveys,selecting 106 cultivars form the measured more than 800 cultivars.Using numerical taxonomy method to analyze the chrysanthemum cultivars characteristic stability and variation characteristics.Coefficient of variation and principle component analysis show that there are 19 species show a high consistency within and between species-specific observed in 57 chrysanthemum varieties.Phenocopy could be used to find the characters discontinuous variation in the varieties Application UPGMA cluster analysis showed that the choice of chrysanthemum varieties can be basically in accordance with the different type of valve and flower type separately.Be different of the previous findings,flower petals and inflorescence shape are at the same classification hierarchy in this reasearch.Co-evolution phenomenon also existence in the flower petals and inflorescence shape. So they could be considered together.Cultivar Group of the Japanese and Chinese species groups clustered together basically.AFLP molecular marker show that:cultivars with the same flower petals is basically clustering together.In the choice of five chrysanthemum genus,Dendranthema vestitum first clustered with the chrysanthemum cultivars of sphericity and lotiform.This is different from previous findings.Irregular type groups cluster together.Spoon type groups dispersed clustering in the tube type and flat type groups.The results of molecular markers and morphological findings are basically the same,but the classification of flower-type levels show some differences.Inflorescence shape factors could be introduced to the existing classification system.Core collection were decided based on morphological and molecular marker,the number of collection samples was decided based on the method of square root,and was adjusted according to the genetic diversity and genetic richness indices.t test of genetic diversity indicate that the primary core collection could represent the genetic variation rang of the entir collections.
