Forest soil is one of important components in forest ecosystem.Forest soil properties are of spatial heterogeneities. That is soil properties can be different at different time and different places. On one hand, forest soil supply the existence and development of the vegetation for the necessary material basis. On the other hand, the appearance and the succession of the forest vegetation can also effect the formation and the development of the soil. For the reason that, forest vegetation can not only respond to the soil spatial heterogeneity but also influent the soil spatial heterogeneity. For the soil properties are different, different vegetation, investigating the difference of the soil of different forest type is of importance for knowing the relation between forest and soil, such as the regeneration, recovering and restoration of the forest. There is of abundant forest resources in Changbai Mountain Jilin Province. Therefore, studying the soil nutrients difference of different forest type and its relation to the biodiversity is of important practical value for the reserving the soil nutrients and the management of the forest in this area.In this paper,we investigated the soil nutrient contents and the biodiversity in five different types, studied the soil nutrients contents heterogeneity and the correlation between different nutrient indexes. In the same time, combining the vegetation situation,it is discussed that the interaction mechanism between them,so that we can disclose the soil nutrients distribution characteristics and heterogeneity law.Through this study, the follow conclusions can be concluded:1,For the same forest type, the upper soil pH value is lower than it of the lower layer. It is contrasting to the other soil nutrient indexes. And the difference between the upper and the lower layer soil nutrient contents is significant. For the different forest type, the nutrient contents orders of different soil layer are not the same.At the 0~20cm layer, the contents of the soil organic matter, total N,total P,available N and available P changes complicatedly. At the 20~40cm layer, except for the pH,the soil nutrient indexes contents of artificial forest are generally higher than those of the original forest. And there are significant nutrients contents(organic matter,pH,total N,total P)difference between the forests generated different origins. It can be concluded that to a large extent the forest origins cause the soil nutrient contents difference.2,In the studying area, the pH variation coefficients for the different forest type are all below 10%.It is weak variability. The other nutrients variation coefficients are all between 16.39%and 52.81%,belonging to the medium variability, except for the available P in Pinus sylvestris forest which reaches to 90.97%belonging to strong variability3,The species diversities of different layer in different forests has significant difference. The species diversity indexes of different layer in original forest(especially the red pine mixed forest) is generally high than those of artificial forest. So planting mixed forest as more as possible can benefit for keeping the forest species diversities in the forest management in the future. For the same forest type, excluding the mixed forest of Pinus sylvestris and Larix, the species diversity indexes of shrub layer are ordinarily higher than those of the tree layer, and even higher than grass layer for some forest types.4,In the different forest, nutrient contents of different soil layer have different correlation to the species diversities of the shrub and grass layer. On the whole, the soil nutrients indexes have better correlation to the species diversities of the grass layer. Moreover, the correlations sometimes are very significant. But the soil nutrients indexes have no correlation to the species diversities of the shrub layer normally.Only in the red pine mixed forest, the upper layer organic matter contents has correlation to the species richness index of shrub layer. So it is of importance to keep and raise the soil nutrients contents to protect the species diversity of grass layer.
