Understanding the relationship between communities and the soil is good for analysis of community succession, soil nutrient dynamics flows, and can provide a reference for the forest scientific management. In this paper, community diversity and soil nutrients have been analyzed in five types of community(Schima superba, Pinus taiwanensis, Rhododendron fortunei, Rhododendron latoucheae, Camellia chekiagoleora), and a comprehensive evaluation of soil quality have been carried out using Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method and AHP method. The conclusion as follows:(1)Different communities showed that Simpson dominance index in Rhododendron fortunei community was in the lowest, but other diversity indexes were higher. And the community of Camellia chekiagoleora in spite of the highest richness index, the diversity index was not high. The majority of nutrients in the soil layer decreased gradually with the soil deepening ,except pH. Variance analysis of different layer showed that most nutrients in AB layer had reached a very significant difference, while in BC layer had no difference.(2)The relationship between different communities and soil nutrients showed that the pH of Rhododendron latoucheae was lower, but most nutrients content were higher. The community of Camellia chekiagoleora had a minimum content of organic matter, total nitrogen, total phosphorus. In the Schima superba community ,the effective nutrient content were lower because of fast material cycle. Compared eastern with western slope, available nutrient in the eastern slope were higher than western slope.(3) The index weight values of evaluating soil quality were different using Fuzzy evaluation method and AHP method, but the Integrated Fertility Index value (IFI) was basically the same. The IFI of Rhododendron latoucheae community is obviously higher than other communities, which had a correlation with community coverage. In the course of soil nutrients accumulation, the climate factor play a major role , in which temperature and moisture are important.(4)The nutrient correlation analysis showed that difference between soil nutrient was larger. Among them, most nutrients with soil water had significant and positive correlation, except pH. Other major nutrients had significant positive correlation with each other.
