In order to investigate and analyze epidemiology of chicken pathogenic E.coli, 150 specimens were collected and 26 strains E.coli were isolated from 30 different hen houses covering 9 towns of Jiaozhou. The studies put emphasis on the biology characteristic, drug sensitivity, and treatment by drugs, so as to find pathogenic characteristics and to set up more reasonable preventive and remedial measures to reduce farmer losses and improve cultivation profit. The research divides two parts:Partâ… : Isolation and identification and drug sensitivity of chicken pathogenic E.coliThe specimens were collected by asepsis. 26 strains of chicken pathogenic E.coli were isolated and identified by culture, staining, biochemical test and pathogenic test. 14 strains were high-virulent, which were 53.85% in the 26 E.coli. There were 17 strains named with serotype. They were O78, O41, O36, O1, O2, O5 and O76. The prevalent serotypes of E.coli in Jiaozhou city were mainly O78, O41. The rate of drug- resistance test showed: florfenicol, amikacin, deoxycycline , neomycin sulfate were sensitive. The results also showed that the drug sensitivity to the E.coli was not the same isolated from different hen house, and the drug sensitivity of the E.coli isolated from the same hen house were not the same, too.Partâ…¡: The research about treatment by florfenicol of Chicken ColibacillosisIn order to verify the treatment effect to Chicken Colibacillosis of florfenicol, the treatment effect of florfenicol was contrasted with gentamicin, amikacin and neomycin sulfate, different dosage forms of florfenicol were compared and the effect of combination florfenicol with TMP was tested. The result showed that the mortality of chickens which was cured by florfenicol was lower by 13.79%,7.97% and 10.36% than gentamicin, amikacin and neomycin sulfate, but the recovery rate was higher by 19.82%, 10.00% and 13.13% than them;the mortality in premix group, solvable dusts group and rejection group were 36.67%, 13.33% and 6.67%. The conclusions of the research were that florfenicol was good effect to Chicken Colibacillosis, and the rejection was best in different dosage forms, but the dosage form of drinking was convenient in practice. The recovery rate of the combination was higher by 3.33% than the single used, which showed the effect of antibiosis of florfenicol can be enhanced by TMP. So it is important to choose the dosage form of florfenicol when Chicken Colibacillosis would occur.
