The oil-sunflower is one of the pioneers for the exploitation salty land, because of its advansed economical values and strong resistance to salt stress. It was taken as material in this study, which was conducted in Yindaruqin irrigation area, a typicle of salty land. By pot culture and field culture, different chemical induced agents with a series of concentrations was used to allivated the salt injury of plants,e.g. SA and NO in different concentrations was applied and then determined the characteristic of leaves physiology and the yield of experimental plots. The aim was to provide recommendations in theory for salty land improvement by planting the oil-sunflower.When the salt content was 5.5~7.5 g/kg, The oil-sunflower plant could adapt well by applying exogenous SA and modifying self-regulation system, but as the value reached to 8.0 g/kg and above, In contrast, SA improved the activities of SOD and POD, a reduction of MDA formation, inhibited the increase of electrolyte relative permeability, and enhance the capacity of the salt-tolerant plants. It was partly powerless resistanted and the biomass and economic yeild were greatly reduced .The result is that: 10 mmol/L SA could greatly alleviate the stress of 152.4 mmol.L-1 salt content.Similarly, at the field harboring salt of 5.5~6.5 g/kg, plant grew well by applying exogenous NO and modifying self-regulation system, when that reached >8.0 g/kg, Likewise, NO promoted the activities of SOD and POD, a reduction of MDA formation, inhibited the increase of electrolyte relative permeability, and enhance the capacity of the salt-tolerant plants. It was partly powerless resistanted and the biomass and economic yeild were greatly reduced .The result is that: 5 mmol/L NO could greatly alleviate the stress of 99.3 mmol.L-1 salt content.
