Today, many countries exploit oil meals as one of which are main sources of feed protein. Investigation on new development technology of protein resources is becoming a hot spot of study on animal nutrition. The purpose of this research is proceed from improving the added value of agricultural byproducts and enlarging sources of animal feed protein, as well as seeking a simple operation, economic, effective and safe method to detoxification of castor bean meal. The separation and purity of allergen in castor bean, separation and identification of relative bacteria and optimization of detoxification of allergen by biological method have been mainly studied in this paper.Through the single-factor and orthogonal experiment, the optimum condition for extraction by water was determined: ratio of solid to liquid was 1:11, extraction time was 9h, extraction temperature was 82℃. The SDS-PAGE detection with unique electrophoresis strip documented that allergen was pure and the position was approximately equal to 14400 Dr which is the strip of lysozyme.The bacteria of N313, B202 and B305 were isolated from cattle's rumen, soil of castor planting and open-wide fermentation from caster bean meal by enrichment culture with allergen as the sole carbon source. These bacteria were observed by modality, and their characteristic of physiology and biochemistry were determined. The experiment on effect of environment to the bacteria had been done, and their rate of detoxification had been studied.The results showed that N313, B202 and B305 are pseudomonas and aerobe. N313 growth temperature range from 20 to 40℃and pH is 5 to 7. B202 and B305 growth temperature range from 20~40℃and pH are 5~10 respectively. The logarithm growth period of N313 and B305 are 5~16h, and B202 is 3~14h. Their ratios of detoxification reached to 90% under optimum condition of detoxification. The strain B202 mixed with B31 which have high degradation rate of ricinine were used in the compound fermentation. It showed that they grew well, the degradation rate of allergen was 74% and ricinine was 76%.
