Phyllostachys aureosulcata McClure cv. Spectabilis, Phyllostachys vivax McClure,Bambusa vulgaris cv. Wittata, Pseudostasa amabilis (McClure) Keng f. , Phyllostachys aurea, Phyllostachys heteroclada Oliver, Phyllostachys glauca McClure, Phyllostachys nigra (Lodd) Munro and Acidosasa venusta (Mcchire) Wang et Ye were used as materials to found out bamboo species of suitable to growth in Yanggu County. The chief results were followed:(1)The investigation results of 9 bamboo species's growth condition indicated that there were 7 bamboo species's survival ratio all exceeded 70% except Phyllostachys nigra (Lodd) Munro and Acidosasa venusta (Mcchire) Wang et Ye. Phyllostachys glauca McClure had maximum survival ratio, new bamboo growth and bamboo shoot numbers. And Phyllostachys glauca McClure had more early bamboo shoot time.(2)The investigation results of 9 bamboo species's cold resistance that except Phyllostachys nigra (Lodd) Munro others bamboo species could overwintering in greenhouse in Yanggu County; expect Phyllostachys nigra (Lodd) Munro, Bambusa vulgaris cv. Wittata and Pseudostasa amabilis (McClure) Keng f. could overwintering under natural conditions in Yanggu County.(3)Phyllostachys vivax McClure had maximum average survival ratio in soils with different salt concents, was 82.5%. Acidosasa venusta (Mcchire) Wang et Ye had minimum average survival ratio, was 61.3%. Multiple comparison showed that survival ratio in salt concent 0.15% was significantly higher than salt content 0.35% and 0.5%.(4)Net photosynthetic rate's result showed that the Pn changes of bamboo species were double peak curves. Net photosynthetic rate and stomatal conductance and transpiration were linear relationship; net photosynthetic rate and the concentration of CO2 gap between was the second curve change.(5)Proline's result showed that the content of Pro showed an increasing tendency from October to February, the Pro content in March declined slightly. The change of Phyllostachys nigra (Lodd) Munro was most severe; the change of Phyllostachys glauca McClure was slowly.(6)Soluble suger content results showed that soluble suger content increased first and decreased afterwards from October to February. Soluble suger content reached highest in December. 9 bamboo species were subjected different degree of low temperature stress and Soluble suger content all decreased to some extent in November. Soluble suger content of Pseudostasa amabilis (McClure) Keng f. and Phyllostachys nigra (Lodd) Munro decreased degree larger; Bambusa vulgaris cv. Wittata and Phyllostachys heteroclada Oliver decreased degree lower.(7)Chlorophyll contents's change tendency similar: Chlorophyll content decreased with decreasing temperature in October; Chlorophyll content increased with increasing temperature in February~March.
