The Comparative Study Of Life Characteristics And Drought Of Different Population Of Koeleria Cristata(L.)Per Under Condition

This dissertation presents a study on the life history and turf characteristics of Koeleria cristata(L.) from the Daqing grassland (DS), Showa grassland (ZH), Ximeng sanggin Dalai Lama (XS), Ximeng bayan tin Le Ranch (XD) in 2008 and 2009. Evapotranspiration consumption from June to September of K.cristata and Poa pratensis(L.) were measured under different water treatments. Analysis on the difference of eco-physiology of K.cristata and P.pratensi under different water treatments was done.Major conelusions are following:1.In variable temperature total germination time is 13d and the average germination rate are 80% seed of K.cristata population from different regions Total germination time is 8d,the average germination rate are80% and 50.8% In 25℃constant temperature and 15℃ constant temperature. after soaking the seeds in gibberellic acid, in 15℃constant temperature all seeds germination rate generally increased to 87%;In 25℃constant temperature germination rate of k seeds from the Xilin Go LE Grassland, Zhao He grass region have been increased to 12% and 3-5%,but from Da Qing Shan region decreased to 84%.2. Seed of four K.cristata Began to sprout After seeding for 8d,.Seedling emergence date is 43 days. Overall sprout rate was:XD (62.20%)> XS (58.20%)> DS (56.50%)> ZH (47.90%)。Transplanting survival rates of K.cristata reached more than 90%.3.One-year-old Plants of K.cristata don't bring sexual reproductive and only bring vegetative growth under cultivations. Average height of One-year-old Plants of K.cristata are 8cm around. The maximum height of two-year-old plants of K.cristata was: XS(19.77cm)>DS(19.30cm)>ZH(19.13cm)>XD(14.90cm).Maximum tillering numbers of one-year-old plants of K.cristata was:ZH (49)> XS (45)> DS (41)> XD (35). one-year-old plants of K.cristata was: ZH (93)>DS (67)>XS (66)>XD(54)。4.Its green-dats is for 255days in Hohhot and it regreens in early March.Seeds maturate in late June under condition. Average numbers ofseed of every inflorescence is 230±201.5. Average weight of seeds of every inflorescence is 0.0205±0.011g.5.The number of clipping of K.cristata from DaQingshan, K.cristata from ZhaoHe, K.cristata from XiMeng Sangen DaLai,K.cristata from XiMengBaYinAoBao and P.pratensis respectively is 5,4,4,4 and 8 times between July to November in order to make turf height not more than 15cm.the cutting number of all kinds of K.cristata lawn are only 50 to 60%of Ppratensis lawn's.6.The influence on the tiller characteristics are different in different water treatments of irrigation once every 3d (3d), irrigation once every 5d (5d),irrigation when the grass are wilting (wilting). Bayanxile Ranch of Xilin Gol League (XD), Poa pratensis (PP) population's number of tillers are greatest under 5d, and DS, XS's number of tillers are greatest under treatment of wilting.. In the same irrigation treatments, the tillering ability of different populations were DS> XS> XD> PP.7.3d treatment, the projective cover degree of PP are biggest, under 5d, the biggest projective cover expression of lawns were PP (40%) XS (45%)> XD (40%)> PP (25%). so only under 5d treatment,all kind of K.cristata lawn's biggest cover degree can reach the green lawn grass coverage (> 50%) requirements, while PP can reach only under 3d water treatment, K.cristata lawn save water then PP. 8. The average daily evapotranspiration rate of K.cristata lawn (mm·d-1) are 5d> 3d> wilting treatment, average daily evapotranspiration of PP was 5d> Wilt> 3d. under 3d treatments, the water consumption of K.cristata lawn of XS, DS, XD was only 77.7%,59.5% and 25.8% of PP's, and under 5d treatment was only 59.3%,64.6%,43.3%, indicating that K.cristata's efficiency of using water was higher than PP's. Under three water treatments, the water consumption of XD grass lawn was significantly lower than the DS, XS's. Under 5d,DS and XS's water consumption were lowest, and XD was under wilting treatments.K.cristata which grows low and thiekly can accomplish normal life history in Hohhot.It develops shoot fast, turns turf fast, grows slow and resistance and water saving..K.cristata has very high turf characteristics.Cultivation conditions, the grass group low, dense clumps of grass species in the Hohhot area contact to complete the normal is an excellent native type water saving lawn grasses of semi-arid regions, based on the comprehensive analysis and evaluation of life history characteristics and drought resistance, the sequence of turf purpose value of K.cristata were the Daqing Mountain K.cristata grassland> XD> Ximeng Sangen Dalai Lama (XS).
