Glomalin which produced by AMF is the only glycoprotein containing metal ions that has been found in soil. It is presumed only of AMF originated and has special physical or chemical characteristics. Much attention has been paid to its significant role in the improvement of soil structure, SOC storage and circulation since it was discovered in 1996.This study investigated 165 soil samples from 11 sites under 5 typical land use types on the tropic Hainan. Based on sample examine and statistical analysis, we try to figure out the content and distribution of GRSP,SOM,HA and FA in vertical section, and their relationships with land use type,soil parent material,soil texture,height and soil structure,furthermore, their contribution to SOC pool and effects on stability of soil structure.GRSP represents a ubiquitous vertical profile distribution as HS and SOM does, they concentrate in layer 0-20cm mostly, and have significant difference under different land use type with a high level in Secondary forest soil, middle in Paddy soil, lowest in the Fruit garden and Cane field. GRSP has an important contribution to SOC pool accounting for 11.79% of the SOM and has significant correlation with SOM and HS.Soils with parent material of granite has a significant high level GRSP content than of basalt. GRSP content and storage in samples from higher location are significantly higher than lower location. GRSP has a significantly positive correlation with sand but negative with silt and clay. We also find GRSP has a significantly positive correlation with 2-5mm water stable aggregates(WSA) but negative with 0.05-0.5mm WSA and not significant with 0.5-2mm and<0.05mmWSA. The WSA distribution has a significant difference from different samples, however content and storage of GRSP in different size WSA from the same sample has no difference, but content and storage of GRSP in the same size WSA of different samples has significant difference. The GRSP in Paddy and Rubber plantation soil has a transposition trend from bigger WSA to smaller WSA compared with Secondary forest soil,especially in Rubber plantation soil,and more significant in deeper layer. The GRSP in WSA has a very significant correlation with SOM in WSA.GRSP contributes greatly to the SOC pool.Soil parent material,texture, structure and location height, land use type all have effects on GRSP. and the soil with better drainage and aeration, more WSA content, stronger micro organism activity,more fertile and less artificial destroy has more GRSP. Much evidence supports that GRSP has significant effects on WSA forming and WSA stability under the research of distribution of WSA,relationships of soil structure with GRSP and SOM and the relationship between GRSP and SOM in WSA.
