With the accelerated development of urbanization, the indexes of the growth of garden plants in all aspects are more in-depth studied, more extensive correlation analyzed, and more precise determined. Among them, the leaf area index (leaf area index, referred to as LAI) and living vegetation volume(referred to as LW) are a key parameter to examine the ecological processes of plant and to study plant canopy structure.We measure and collate LAI which bases on the LAI-2000-application, as well as plant height, canopy height and other traditional data of 5 kind of single plant in Shanghai and use these data to create regression model database of LAI. For special of LAI and LVV,we analyses the five species of the relationship between the various index, summarized Shanghai landscape greening tree growth process and configuration of regularity. These 5 kinds of Shanghai common greening trees include: big evergreen tree Cinnamomum Camphora,big arbor plane trees Platanus Orientalis, Large evergreen shrub Osmanthus fragrans, Evergreen small arbors Magnolia Gradiflor, coniferous species Cedrus Deodara.The classification of different species of Shanghai,representing different greening tree species commonly used..The measurement of these typical of the ecological index and various rules,They have certain representativeness. They can include green trees and shrubs and trees type, evergreen and deciduous type, and often more often clip type, type of regular and irregular crown.These index have certain relation, and use the curve fitting.The result below as:for the average LAI, Osmanthus fragrans (7.3)> Cedrus Deodara (7.1)> Magnolia Gradiflor (6.5)> Cinnamomum Camphora(5.5)> Platanus Orientalis(4.3).For the LVV, Osmanthus fragrans (37.4m3) deciduous type (4.3). Clip less type (6.4)> clip more types (5.9). Crown shape more rules type (7)> crown irregular shape type (4.9).The particularity of these index, such as Osmanthus fragrans represents hollow internal phenomenon the greening tree species commonly used. The Cedrus Deodara represents a leaf area index of conifers, set up specifically for the particularity of the auxiliary experiment. Auxiliary test results show that the plant crown for osmanthus three-dimensional hollow internal phenomena in actual value than the quantity of green instrument measured values, modifier is 0.83. The measurements of the cedar gathered coefficient is 5.61. At the macro level, this phonenon is widespread,.Particularity in the natural ecology, it has universal significance.Thus, we can select appropriate plants, through a reasonable allocation, to calculate the LAI of both single plant and plant community of all kinds in different periods by the help of the database. And also, we can process a more comprehensive study of garden trees on their eco-efficiency, growth rhythm and so on to obtain the law which will great facilitate the work in the future.
