Early bearing is always the goal of the pomologist. Promoting the young trees with certain amount of branches is one of the effective methods, at the same time, forming the preliminary shape of tree, is effective way of shortening the shaping period. The suitable branching height and direction bring the great convenience in shaping project, is the base of early bearing and heavy bearing. The apple production in China is the vital role in world apple production industry, at present, mainly single-trunk seedling breeding in China, which is the problem of many years barren after seedling planting. While this problem is solving aboard in production and application. The seedlings aboard are mainly dwarf self-seedling, while in China mainly dwarf interstock apple trees, the reaction of both branching is still not clear. Therefore, two-year old dwarf interstock apple tree as the material (Malus sieversii(Ledeb)Roem/M26/Changfu 2) in this experiment, with many ways and means, seeking the best branching method in the nursery, providing the proof for promoting the branching of the late ripe buds and shortening the juvenile period and shaping period of apple tree.The main results were as follows:1. 6-BA of different time and different concentrations have obvious effects on apple tree's tree height and stem diameter. The best treatment is 400mg/kg,and the best time is May 14th ;Promalin of different time and different concentrations have obvious effects on apple tree's tree height and stem diameter. The best treatment is 200mg/kg,and the best time is April 27th . In total,6-BA has the better effects than promalin. The different influence of 6-BA and Promalin to the vegetative growth of two years old apple trees, and the regulation of vegetative growth.2.Seedlings without cutting back treatment exists the unreasonable phenomenon in branching height and branching orientation , even with promalin treatment still can't change this situation. Seedling with 90 cm cutting back treatment, the one-year stem segment is easily branching, with Promalin treatment could promote more branching, while 1 year-old stem segment grow strongly, which will suppress the growth of current branching . Seedling with 70 cm cutting back treatment can not be branching, with Promalin application, promoting the current stem segment branching, and branching height and branching position is suitable, providing convenience for tree shaping. While due to high density for mass breeding, which can not get ideal branching. To utilize current stem segment branching instead of one year-old stem branching capability , Promalin could break up the dormancy of late-maturing bud, furthermore promoting branching of late-maturing bud.3.The growth of seedling exsits not only space competition, but also nutrient competition, different breeding density, possibly means different irrigation and fertilizer management . The density of mass breeding is difficult to form high quality seedling .60cm×25cm is the best breeding density...
