Prickly-ash rust (Coleosporium zanthoxyli Diet. et Syd.)was one of the most common and serious diseases in each cultivation areas during our country .The disease caused seriously damage to prickly-ash production. This research was on the basis of investigation in each prickly-ash cultivation areas in Shanxi Province, and did further research about leaf inheren tissue structure and physiological and biochemical risistances, which in order to determine different varieties inherent factor and different varieties of varieties resistant capability of prickly-ash rust relationship. Research results show that:1. The investigation of the same species in different places results showed, prickly-ash rust had related with meteorological factors. Correlation analysis results showed that disease index and temperature was negatively correlated, and positively correlated with rainfall. The average temperature in August and rainfall had significantly related with disease index. This may explain temperature and rainfall in Summer and Autumn were the key effection factor of pricklyash rust. And the popularity of prickly-ash rust was Accordance with logistic model.2.Investigation showed that In Shaanxi province different varieties had significant rust resistance. The seedling tested prickly-ash resistance were Basically the same as the survey rensults of each areas field survey of rust situation. Overall,Mijiao, wild Short-stalk-Goujiao was resistance, while Doujiao and Dahongpao was susceptible.During somenonlocal species of prickly-ash,Qingxi-Gongjiao and Hebei-Dahongpao were relatively resistant, while Taian-Xiaohongpao was the extreonmely susceptible one.3.During the six selected varieties of prickly-ash in Yangling-test field, had studied the varieties'organization anatomic structure, including the organization stomata size, stoma density, leaf thickness, stockade tissue thickness, sponge tissue thickness and upper and under stratum corneum thickness. Results showed that: among varieties of prickly-ash, the stomata size and stomata density, were positively correlated with the disease-resistant, the resistant varieties'stoma density and size were small. While the stockade tissue thickness and the cuticle thickness were negatively correlated with the disease-resistant.Relatively strong resistance varieties'leaf cuticle was well developed and thicker, stockade tissue was also comparatively thicker ,and its cells were closely and aligned, sponge tissue cells were small clearances.4.Based on compared inherent physiological and biochemical material content index among varieties,it was found: chitinase,beta-1,3-glucanase, lignin, volatile oil and wax content in leaf content were very few.Chitinase and wax content had relatively large content in resistant varieties, and had a significant relation with disease index. Lignin content had a extremely significant relation with disease index. All above index had positively correlated with the disease index, which explained these index had relationship with varieties'resistance, and they could be used as prickly-ash varieties'rust resistance index. while the content of beta-1,3-glucanase and volatile oil changes had no correlation with the host resistance obviously.
