In order to study the effect of differet sulfur and nitrogen fertilizer combined application on different senescent wheat,N content, water content,GPT,NR,green leaf area, chlorophyll content of two stay-green wheat and one non-stay green wheat varieties were measured in the lab.The result showed that:1.NR activity,N content in leaf and stem of the stay-green wheat is higher than non-stay green wheat, and under N220 the decrease of GPT activity in stay-green wheat is much smaller than in non-stay green wheat within 21 days after anthesis.Under N120 treatment.the N content,N accumulation,NR activity and GPT activity with S60 treatment were lower than two other S treatment. Under the N220 treatment, the N content,N accumulation,NR activity and GPT activity with S60 treatment were higher than two other S treatment.2.Under high N treatment, dry matter translocation, rate and contribution of dry matter translocation of leaf and stem has the same trend in three wheat. This show that under N220,the S treatment can improve the dry matter translocation of leaf and stem at harvest. The dry weight of leaf under N220S60 is higher than other treatment. The dry weight of leaf decrease more slowly in stay-green wheat than in non-stay green wheat.3.The green leaf area, chlorophyll content, water content in leaf, stem and spike of all wheat varieties reached the maximum under N220S60 treatment.Under the same treatment the green leaf area, chlorophyll content, water content in stem and spike of stay green wheat is higher than non-stay green wheat. It also showed that the N220S60 treatment can make non-stay green show some stay green character.4.Under N220S60,yield and biomass reached the maximum, and kernels and grain weight of stay green wheat is higher than non-stay green wheat.
