Onion is an edible and medicinal plant which contains affluent nutrient substance and functional component. Onion flavonoids is deemed to be a member of the active constituent and play a unique role in preventing and cureing many diseases.The study on bioactivity function of onion had positive significance for developing drug product or feed additive,using in animal clinical and production,increasing disease resistance and animal health.This paper has studied on the extracting of onion flavonoids and the effect on the lipid metabolism and antioxidation onion flavonoids.The content includes:(1)Extracting technology of onion flavonoids was optimized and onion flavonoids components were extracted.The effect of ethanol density,extraction temperatu re, extra- ction time, dosage liquor ratio on extraction rate was approached and orthogonal test was proceed combined with single factor result.The orthogonal test result showed that,best technologcial conditions of onion flavonoids extraction was 80℃extraction temperature,80% ethanol density,3 hours extraction time and 1:30 dosage liquor ratio.The onion flavonoids yield was 5270mg/kg by this extract condition.(2)Study on the effect of onion flavonoids in lipid metabolism.The effect of onion flavonoids on mice body weight,liver weight and liver coefficient by building the pathology model of hyperlipemia mice and lavageing with low,middle and high dose of onion flavonoids.The effect of onion flavonoids on reducing blood lipid biochemical indicator,blood rheology and liver morphology were also studied.The result showed that:①O nion flavonoids had no effect on body weight,but it would decreased the liver weight and liver coefficient of hyperlipemia mice.②Onion flavonoids would decreased TC,TG,LDL-C and AI of hyperlipemia mice and raised HDL-C level,meanwhile it would decreased the AST level and had no effect on GGT level.③Onion flavonoids would decreased the low,middle,high shear rate viscosity in whole blood,plasma viscosity and erythrocyte aggregation index of hyperlipemia mice.④Onion flavonoids would somewhat relieving the steatosis of liver.The study proved that onion flavonoids can regulate the lipid metabolism.(3)Study on the antioxidation of onion flavonoids in vitro.Determining onion flavonoids's reducing power,the ability of scavenging Hydroxyl (? OH) and remove superoxide anions (O2-·),the ability of inhibiting hemolysis of RBC that induced by H2O2,and the ability of inbibiting lipid peroxidation of heart,liver,spleen and kidney.The results showed that onion flavonoids have reducing power and the ability of cavenging Hydroxyl (? OH) and remove superoxide anions (O2-·). onion flavonoids can inhibit hemolysis of RBC and lipid peroxidation.The study proved that onion flavonoids had the antioxidation activity in vitro.(5)Study of the antioxidation of onion flavonoids in hyperlipaemia mice. Determi- ning T-AOC, MDA, SOD, GSH-Px of on serum and liver in hyperlipidemia mice. The results showed that onion flavonoids can reduce MDA in the serum and liver, increased T-AOC and GSH-Px levels in the serum and liver.Onion flavonoids increased SOD level in liver but the SOD level in the serum was non-significant. The study proved that onion flavonoids had the antioxidation activity in hyperlipaemia mice.
