This paper does research on the occurrence of Cytospora Canker of Poplar in Jiangsu Province with the purpose of sustainable control of this disease, on the basis of which, the relationship of 32 strains of Cytospora in different geographic origin of 10 provinces and 29 cities have been analyzed. The experiment of chemical control and exploration of some biological control in the laboratory of Cytospora Canker of Poplar have been tested. The main results are as follows:1. Though the investigation on the Cytospora Canker of Poplar in Jiangsu Province. The disease occurred in Xinyi, Luhe and Yizheng three areas. 4417 poplars have been investigated. The average incidence rate is 11.32%. The investigation also found that the occurrence of Cytospora Canker of Poplar got close relationships with tree species, age, topography, soil, aspect and pest.2. RAPD analysis study of the relationship for 32 Cytospora in different geographic origin of 10 provinces and 29 cities in China. This paper analyzed the genetic diversity and the phylogenetic relationships from the molecular level. The results indicate that 32 different strains were divided into two large clusters. One is the central and western group. The other groups the east coast group. The genetic similarity of Jiangsu strain is close to Shandong. The both two strains are belonged to the east coast group. 32 Cytospora strains have a distinct geographical distribution.3. The chemical control experiment has been tested in the Cytospora Canker of Poplar in Jiangsu Province. The effects of 10 fungicides on conidia germinations and mycelium growth of Cytospora showed that CabrioTM and Azoxystrob are two kinds of effective chemical medicine. The EC50 of CabrioTM and Azoxystrob is 0.8106μg / ml and 1.5214μg/ml. Actual control in the field found that the best control concentration of outdoor was higher than the indoor. We could do best control effect except increasing the concentration of indoor.4. The research on the biological control of Cytospora Canker of Poplar indoor found that the antagonistic fungus Trichoderma harzianum and Trichoderma viride has better antagonistic effects; The 3 bacteria Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and Bacillus thuringiensis isolated from the poplar got good antagonistic effects to Cytospora. These strains provide a theoretical basis for the development and production of biological medicine in the future.
