Study On Combining Ability And Heterotic Relationship Among 20 Maize Populations And Chinese Germplasm

Narrow genetic base limits maize germplasm development, which need to study heterotic groups and model of domestic and exotic maize germplasm. In the study, the genetic relationship and heterotic groups of twenty domestic, exotic maize population and chinese elite germplasm were analyzed, using 3 population testers(Csyn 5, Csyn 7,Lancaster) according to NCâ…¡mating design and incomplete block in the field experiment. The rsults was shown as the following.1.Pob43, Suwan1, QPM-Y, WBMC4, JizongA, Csyn3, Csyn4,BS29,BSCB1 have highly GCA effects in yield, the highest five GCA effects of germplasm are Pob43, Suwan1, Csyn4, JizongA, Csyn3 using 3 population testers .Therefore, the germplasm can improve maize meterials in northeast of China,or breed first cycle line. But Pob43, Suwan1 was not adapted to grow in northeast of China, which need to improvement for adaption.2.Pob28, Pob43, SG-Y, Suwan1, Tuxpeno, Liaonvzong, Csyn 3, Csyn 4, BS16, BS26, BS28, BS29 were closer to Sipingtou at background of heterotic Pattern (Csyn 5xCysn 7) in the Summer Maize Area in the Yellow Huai Hai rivers valley. Pob446,QPM-Y, JizongA, Yuzong 5, Shanzong 3, WBMC4, BS30, BSCB1 were closer to Lancaster. The two groups germplasm can also improve using reciprocal recurrent relection each other.3. Pob446,QPM-Y,JizongA,Shanzong 3,WBMC4,BS16å’ŒBSCB1)were closer to Lancaster at background of heterotic Pattern (Csyn 5, Csyn 7,Lancaster. Pob28,Suwan1,Tuxpeno,Liaonvzong,Csyn 4,BS26,BS28å’ŒBS29were closer to Sipingtou Pob43,SG-Y,Csyn3,Yuzong 5å’ŒBS30were closer to PA. The two groups germplasm can also improve using reciprocal recurrent relection each other.
