In order to find the effective feed additives to reduce heat stress in summer for the pigs,γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), baclofen, Vc and probiotics were used in this experiment. One hundred and twelve fattening pigs weighed about 36.5±2.5 kg were divided into 7 groups, 16 pigs for each group, half male and half female. Goup 1-2 were added with GABA at 40 and 40 g/T; group 3 was added with GABA at 40 g/T and baclofen at 10 g/T; group 4 was added with baclofen at 10 g/T; group 5 was added with GABA 40 g/T, baclofen 10 g/T and Vc 100 g/T; group 6 was added with probiotics at 500 g/T; group 7 was the control group. The feeding experiment was 62 days. The results showed that the compound additives of GABA, baclofen and Vc in goup 5 and probiotics in group 6 had the best effect on reducing heat stress and improving production performance, nutrient digestibily and gut microbes of pigs (P<0.05), while had no significant effect on serum biochemical indexes (P>0.05).
