In order to explore physiological characteristics of Cassin bicapsularis's growth,then achieve the artificial flowering control,this paper studied the effects of photoperiod on the growth and flowering of cuttings and seedlings in Cassin bicapsularis,the effects of different dates of removing top under 12 h,the effects of different numbers of removing top,different concentrations of hormones(IAA,GA,KT)and different shading treatment on the growth and flowering of seedlings in natural conditions in Cassin bicapsularis,taking cuttings and seedlings of Cassin bicapsularis as materials. The results showed that:1)Photoperiod had some impact on the vegetative growth of cuttings and seedlings in Cassin bicapsularis.. For cuttings,the effects of other photoperiod on the trunk height was not significant. But for the seedlings,the trunk height of 16 h were bigger than other photoperiod. According to the multiple comparisons,the difference between 16 h and 12 h,14 h was not significant,but it had the significant effect with 6 h and 8 h,extremely significant effect with 10 h.2)Photoperiod also had a significant impact on the reproductive growth of cuttings and seedlings in Cassin bicapsularis.. For the cuttings,compared with CK,the budding dates of other treatments were earlier than CK except 16 h,because the bud didn't emerge in 16 h. Among different treatments,which budded first was 12 h. The treatment which budded earlier had higher budding rates. At the same time,it blossomed earlier,and had higher blossoming rates and more flowers. But for the seedlings,when the experiment finished,the buds emerged in all treatments. Compared with CK,the budding dates of other photoperiod treatments were earlier than CK except 16 h which was later than CK. The treatment which budded first was 14 h in seedlings.3)Different removing top date can promote the collateral sprouting.0~10 d after removing top was the period of rapid increasing in the number of lateral branches. Compared with CK,the treatment which budded earlier was the earlier removing top. But its budding rate,blossoming rate and flowers were smaller. The blossoming rate of other two treatments was less than CK except May 28 removing top treatment which equaled with CK. But in the flowers,the flowers'number of May 28 and June 7 was bigger than CK. 4)Compared with CK,the first collateral number of the treatment of different removing top numbers was much more than CK in the natural conditions. If the numbers of removing top were more,the effects on the secondary and tertiary collateral number were greater. The bud emerged first in the treatment of three times of removing top among different treatments. In the budding rate,compared with CK,the budding rate of other treatments was lower than CK. The more removing top,the higher budding rate. The treatment which budded earlier,blossomed earlier. And its blossoming rate and flowers were bigger.5)Compared with CK,the trunk height,trunk basic diameter,collateral number,collateral length,collateral basic diameter of different concentrations of IAA,GA,KT treatment was less than CK. This showed that different concentrations of IAA,GA,KT treatment had some inhibitory effect on vegetative growth of the seedlings in Cassin bicapsularis. Different concentrations of IAA treatment can not promote the bud differentiation of the seedlings in Cassin bicapsularis,resulting in later budding date and blossoming date,lower budding rate,blossoming rate and flowers. Among different concentrations of GA,300 mg/L can promote the differentiation in Cassin bicapsularis,then advanced the budding date and flowering date. The first budding date and flowering date were 15 d and 10 d earlier than CK,respectively. Lower and higher concentrations of GA were not good for the differentiation in Cassin bicapsularis. Among different concentrations of KT,100 mg/L can promote the differentiation in Cassin bicapsularis. The first budding date and flowering date were 18 d and 9 d earlier than CK,respectively. Higher concentrations of KT can't promote the differentiation in Cassin bicapsularis,then delayed the budding date and flowering date.Shading treatment had some certain inhibitory effect on the collateral germination and bud differentiation in the seedlings of Cassin bicapsularis.
