Clinical Study On Treating Ulcerative Colitis By Endotheraphy Combine To External Therapeutics Of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Ulcerative colitis (UC), a comnionplace disease,is a inflammatory disease of colon and rectum,which has uncertain pathogen and membrane of the colon is included,characterized as ulcer.It is marked by diarrhea,stool with blood,mucous or pus.In western medicine,because the etiology and pathogenesis has not been known. A good animal model of UC has not been made,and the therapeutic effect is not ideal,whice are the main and difficult questions. The drugs to treat UC at active phase are aspirin and adrenal cortical hormone.Though the two kinds of drugs could control symptoms at early phase,and the new drugs have less side-effects,the deases may recur after stopping administration ,and the side-effects may increase because of long-term adminitration,the more, for some stubborn cases ,they have less therapeutic effects. So we must look for some new drugs, which have more effect and less side-effects. In TCM,it is categorized as "Changfeng","Changpi","Zhixia","Liji",ect.To this disease ,we agree in that, its characteristic is dampness and heat aggregating in the body, leading to Qi deficiency and blood-stasis,after a long procedure,in which, the spleen deficiency is the primary,and the dampness and heat,the Liver-Qi being depressed and blood stasis arc the senecondary.We treat this disease under the principle of treating the secondary under urgent situation and treating the primary in chronic cases .So,under urgent situation,we treat it by cleaning heat and resolving dampness,or eliminating toxicant and promoting circulation,in chronic cases,we treaet it by strengthen the spleen,invigorating Qi and nourishing the Kidney.From 1996,we use Changyan Qin to treat this disease,which is under the therapeutic rules above,and it is made of these Chinese druges:Dahuang,Mudanpi,Huanglian,Yiyiren,Baihuashesechao,Muxiang, Wuyao and Huangqi.Furthermore,the acupoints,such as Dachangshu,pishu and shengshu,pasted with Tianjiugao,which is made of Baijiezi,Xixin,Yanhu and Gansui,and the therapeutic effect is good with low recrudescent rate. The study observed 15 cases of UC which were treated by internal and external treatment(take Changyanqing capsule and,use Tianjugao plaster externally). Its total effective rate was 93.33% and that of control group,15 cases treated by iiechangyan pellet,was 57.77%.which show a statistically significant,And it is better than but no marked different with anther control group, 15 case cured with Changyanqin purse,which was 73.33%.We observed the changes of enteroscopy ,blood analysis,liver function and immunological indices after the treatment of Chinese drugs of strengthen the spleen and invigorating Qi, cleaning heat and resolving dampness,eliminating toxicant and promoting circulation ,we discussed the etiology and pathogesis of UC from the ancientry literatures,experiment and clinic studies,and discussed the therapeutic functions of Tianj iugao plaser from the respects of the meridian and paste therapy.
