TO investigate the relationship between the Nucleus Raphe dorsalis (NRD) and the acupuncture-effect on the stomach, Hall's effect principle was adopted to record the changes of gastric movement and electrogastrography. In the present experiment, we observed the influence of electroacupuncture(EA) at ZusanLi on gastric movement and slow wave in electrogastrography under waking and quiet state. We also studied the changes of the acupuncture-effects on stomach after destroying NRD and after injecting 5-HT -, Cyp -. pCPA ., Bicuculline into NRD.The main results are as follows: l.The influence of EA to ZusanLi on gastric movement and slow wave in electrogastrography mainly expresses inhibition effect to lower of frequency and wave amplitude, presenting simple regulation of inhibition. 2.The microinjection of Normal Saline into NRD couldn't change the inhibition of EA. 3.The inhibition can be partially repressed after lesion of NRD. 4. When 5-HT was microinjected into NRD, the inhibition of EA was increased. S.After Cyp was used to block 5-HT2 receptor, inhibition effect of EA could be decreased partially. 6.After pCPA was used to block combination of 5-HT, inhibition effect of EA could be decreased partially. 7.After Bicuculline was used to block GABAA receptor, inhibition effect of EA also could be decreased partially. It was concluded that NRD is involved in the inhibition of EA on stomach and the 5-HT in NRD is mediated by 5-HT2 receptors, the GABA in NRD is mediated by GABAA receptors.
