In order to study the effects of Lungfit (compound preparation of Cordyceps sinensis and Astragalus membranaceus) on anoxia-resistance, immune function and myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury, the survival time of mice during hermetical anoxia and the brain survival time of rats during asphyxic anoxia were studied; the erythrocyte counts, the hemoglobin content in rat blood were measured; the lymphocyte proliferation and the activity of NK cells were tested by MTT method; the protective effects on myocardial reperfusion injury in isolated Langendorff heart of rats were also studied. Lungfit was administered by intragastric gavage at different doses for 10 days consecutively. The results were as follows:1. Lungfit could prolong the mouse survival time and the rat brain survival time during anoxia in a dose-dependent manner.2. Lungfit could increase the number of erythrocytes and the content of hemoglobin significantly.3. Lungfit could promote the lymphocyte proliferation, augment the NK cell activity and antagonize the immunosuppression caused by CY.4. Lungfit could ameliorate the recovery of HR, CF, LVDP, LVEDP, and 眃p/dtmax in the reperfusion period after 30 min global ischemia. The results suggest that Lungfit could enhance the resistance of organism to anoxia, potentiate the immune function and produce a protective effect on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury.
