Objective: To evaluate the therapeutic effect of Gallbladder-Disinhibi-ting Stone-Expelling Oral Liquid (GSOL) in treatment of Cholelithiasis of Damp-Heat Pattern. Method: 60 cases of Cholelithiasis patients were divided into 2 groups randomly: 30 cases in GSOL group (treatment group) and 30 cases in Anti-Inflammatory GalIbladder-Disinhibiting Tablet group (control group), to observe the changes of clinical symptoms, physical signs, laboratory indexes and abdominal B-ultrasound. Results: After 4 weeks of treatment, clinical symptoms, physical signs, abdominal B-ultrasound, Leucocyte count and DC, serum total bilirubin of treatment group improved significantly, and the improvement of clinical symptoms, physical signs, abdominal B-ultrasound was superior to the control group. The total curative effect of the treatment group was 86. 77%, which was superior to the control group. We also found in the study that AGDT could reduce ALT and y -GT, which was superior to the control group. It suggested that AGDT had the remarkable effect of anti-inflammation and abating jaundice. Conclusion: AGDT had affirmative therapeutic effect in treating Cholelithiasis. It could relieve the clinical symptoms remarkably and safely. It deserved to be extensively applied .
