In the treatment of malignant tumor within deep seated tissue , the thermochemotherapy has been applied widely. But effect of existent heating methods is unfavorable in malignant tumor within deep seated tissue. Intra artery heating infusion(IAHI) is a new method for heating malignant tumor within deep seated tissue. In order to maintain the concentration of anti-tumor drugs dose of hot saline was limited .therefore heating capacity of infusion is deficit it failed to heat tumor tissue to suitable temperature (43℃~45℃) .Meanwhile, due to the washing by continuous infusion, hot saline did not stop in artery for long time it accelerated the lose of heating capacity.Therefor we have consideration for: intermittent hot saline infusion intra artery will be applied while feeding artery of tumor will be cut out in-4-order to decrease the lose of hot energy and enhance effect of therm ochemotherapy. Objective: effectiveness and sefety of intermittent thermochemotherapy intra artery infusion will be studied in order to explore a more effective method for treating malignant tumor within deep seated tissue and provide experimental evidence for clinical application of thermochemotherapy. Methods: VX2 tumor model was established respectively in 30 Newzland rabbit's thighs.after catherizating intra femoral artery and demonstrating supplying artery of tumors by DSA,all 30 rabbits were devided into three groups (10 rabbits in every group),normal temperature l00mL saline + Adriamycin(ADM) infusion? 60℃100mL saline +ADM continuous infusion and 60 ℃ lOOmL saline +ADM intermittent infusion were given respectively to the three groups. 43 ℃ ?45 'C lasting time of two 60 ℃ groups' tumor tissues was measured, concentrations of ADM within tumor's tissue were measured after infusion.Results:1. concentrations of ADM(ng/mL): 60℃ continuous infusion 14.058?.973, 60℃ intermittent infusion20.622?.278, normalthermal infusion!3.115?.180, 60 ℃ intermittent infusion vs 60 ℃ continuous infusion (PO.05), 60 ℃ continuous infusion vs normal temperature infusion (P>0.05).2 . 43 ℃ ~ 45 ℃ lasting time(min):60 ℃ continuous infusion 6.100?.674, 60℃ intermittent infusion 20.00011.571, the later is three-5-times than the former.3. there was no difference betwen the temperature and respiration and heart rate of two 60 ℃ infusion groups. Conclusion: concentrations of ADM and 43 ℃ ~45℃ lasting time in 60 ℃ intermittent infusion was greater than the control. Therefore intermittent thermochemotherapy intra artery is an effective and safe interventional thermochemotherapy.
