Objective: Fractures are a kind of common trauma,especaily upper extramity fractures,with a long time of healing.How to accelerate fracture healing is always a hot spot for a long time.At present,the prospective studies conclude using works of biomedical engineering,such as growth factors,bone mortion protain(BMP) and ceramics,and gene therapy to facilitate fracture healing.But now,these therapies are all in experiment stage,at the same time the prices are too high.Their reliabilities also cann't be verificated,so they are not used in clinic.The theory background of usually methods to accelerating fracture healing,for example ultra-red ,ray laser and electrolmagnetism,are all to ameliorate the local blood cycal of fracture,increasing blood flow,and strengthing body's natural healing ability. Stellate ganglion block(SGB) could increase the blood flow and nutrien of its control area significantly,rise the oxygen tension and strengthen body's natural healing ability.In clinical,SGB has been used to therapy some ischemia diseases.In theory,SGB can step-up healing-rates of fractures in its control area,but now,there are not any reports about this line.This study bases on the theorybackground above,preparate right SGB model and right radius fracture model in rabbit,doing SGB interruptive, shooting X-ray photos,mechanical tests and observing histological sections under optic microscop staging and batch,study the effect of SGB on rabbit radius fracture healing to seek a economic method to accelerate fracture healing.Methods: Divided 90 mature Japanese rabbits,male equal to female,weighting 3.0±0.5kg,4 months old, into three groups randomly:the SGB group(A group),the normal saline group(B group) and the coltrol group(C group).Each group had 30.A,B group rabbits were aneathesized by injecting 0.3% pentobarbital sodium(1.0ml.kg-1) into auris vein,fixed by dorsal position , denuded at cervix,disinfected ,extend coverlet,media incisied ,dieresised hypoderm and muscle,found the right carotid sheath,incised on it at the sternal level,split down in it with microsurgery clamp,insetted epidual catheter into it,and fixed the catheter on the cervical paravertebal muscle ,the other end of the catheter punctured out from the retrocollis skin,remained 10cm about.After one week,all rabbits were aneathesized by injecting 0.3% pentobarbital sodium(1.0ml.kg-1) into auris vein,fixed by dorsal position ,and the right forelimb was denuded, disinfected, extend coverlet,carved skin and hypoderm longitudinal on middle part of radius side ,uncovered the middle part of radius, carved periosteumlongitudinal and breakaway it,made transverse absence about 2 mm extently,sow parenchyma and skin,so the model of radius facture was made.Beginned to inject three days after operation.Injected 0.25% bupivacaine 0.5ml from the catheter to A group rabbts,once a day;0.9% normal saline to B group once a day and did nothing to C group.measured the blood flow of right humerus artery before and after injection with B type ultrasound.At the second,fourth and sixth week,selected ten rabbits randomly from each group,shot CR photos to observ the fracture healing and graded,then killed the rabbit,take out whole right radius,divided into two groups randomly,five each group,placed them on the omnipotencal test machine,one group was carried through three-point bend test,the other group done retortion test,to measure the most anti-bend intensity and the most anti- retortion intensity.After measured,radius above was truncated at the points 0.5 cm far from fracture line bilateral,put into 10% formaldehyde liquor to fixing,decalcificated,dehydrated, embed with olefin,seriate slice with microtome,did H.E staining,observed the histological chang of fracture healing under optic microscope and graded.Results: Table 1 and figure 1 showed that 10 minutes after injection,the blood flow of right humerus of A grop rabbits rised from (30.25±1.83)ml.min-1 before injevtion to (51.42±3.57) ml.min-1.Then the flow decreased gradually to(44...
