Objective To provide anatomic basis for repairing the deformed of later facial paralysis. The special research of temporal region layers and the blood vessel and nerve bunches of compound tissue flap which consist with galea aponeurosis and temporal muscle was taken. The electromyography (ECG) date of temporal muscles and facial muscles were studied,in order to research the key points of using temporal muscle bunches to repair the deformed muscles of later facial paralysis,such as orbicular ocular muscle,zygomatic muscle and orbicularis oris muscle.Method 40 sides of 20 fresh adult head specimens were studied. Completely randomized design of 4 groups,each group was treated with blood vessel radiography,blood vessel cast,muscle transparent and micro anatomic respectively. The result collected in numeral cream and all photos were overlaped with Adobe photoshop to form the blood vessel and nerve bunches of this compound tissue flap. Rely on bone sign in the face draw the mark line of temporal muscle. To analysis 1 8 healthy human and to be sure the dates of ECG lead the dynamical correction of later facial paralysis.Results Temporal region divided into three layers from superficial to deep,superficial temporal fascia,deep temporal fascia and temporal muscle. All of them have blood vessels and nerve independently,and formed a dense interlacing network. The superficial temporal fascia extends to upwards form the galea aponeurosis. The thickness of fascia is (4.6+1.7)mm,the length of superficial temporal fascia is(12.5+1.9)cm,the galea aponeurosis length from temporal superior linear to sagittal suture is (4.6+0.7)cm,the length of superior back edge of zygomatic arch to altercate is (11.4+1.2)cm,There are three independent bundles ofblood vessels and never in temporal muscle:AI ML and TM. There are two-stage branches beyond (1-2) cm of the zygomatic arch,and 60% belonged to ML and others is to TM. So,there are 4 standard sections located on the zygomatic arch through overlapped blood and vessel brunch of temporal muscle. We called them temporal muscle I,temporal muscle II,temporal muscle III and temporal muscle IV. The behind 3 sections is useful for clinic. The angle of muscle sections of temporal muscle II,temporal muscle III,temporal muscle IV is:90+5 > 118+9 > 127 +10 . The date of Ampl,Turns AND T/A of two muscles checked on paired T-test. All average value tended to be higher in temporal muscle than in the expression muscles.Conclusion 1.There are 3 independent useful blood vessels and never bundles in temporal muscle. It is enough to correct the deformed in eye,nose and mouth of later facial paralysis with galea aponeurosis and the corresponding temporal muscle bunches,so we can accomplish this operation once a time. 2. The interference pattarn dates of Ampl,Turns AND T/A are characteristicindex of temporal muscle and expression muscle. There existed significant differences. Amplitude of vibration is relative with muscle force. We believe the temporal muscle brunches are 1.5-4 times as large as the expression muscle in the force.
