Objec surgery in the tive To discuss telomerase activity to evaluate theimportance of radioimmunoguidedcurative operation of gastric carcinoma and toappraise the relevance of telornerase activity of pertioneal washing and peritonealdissemination of gastric carcioma .Methods 52 patients of gastric carcinoma verifidedby gastriscopy and histology. All patiens have underwent radical resection,16 gastriculcer patiens have underwent resection. The radioimmunodectecting was used in theoperation of 30 patients of gastric carcinoma to dectect the primary cancer and lymphnode,et a1.Theresults were recorded pallicularly in the process oflaparotomy.Telomericrepeated amp1ification protocol (TRAP)-enzyme-linkedimmunosorbent assay(ELISA)was performed on telomerase activity in gastriccarcinoma and peritoneal washing co1lected from 52 gastric carcinoma patients and l6gastric ulcer patients.exfOliative cytologic analysis was uesed for comparison. ResultThe comparison of positivity rate of telomerase activity and RID u7as not significantIydifferent in the tissues of 30 gastric carcinoma (p>0.05).No telomerase activity wasfound in 16 gastric ulcer patients'peritioneal washing, the positivity rate of telomeraseactivity was significanty rate of higher than that of exfOliative cytology (48.l% vs25%,p<0.01).Conclusion mD may be applied in the therapy of gastric carcinoma asa dependanle technology. There was positive correlation between telomerase activity ofperitoneal washing and peritoneal dissemination of gastric carcinoma, telomeraseactivity can be used to reflect the status of peritionea1 dissemination and as an indicatorfor its early diagnosis.
