Objective To study the diagnostic value in patients with renal artery, abdominal aortic, iliac abnormal and to explore the advantage and indication with 3D contrast enhanced MR Bolus Tracking angiography. Methods 23 cases of prospective suspected of renal artery, abdominal aortic,iliac diseases underwent 3D MRA Bolus Tracking after intravenous injection of Gd-DTPA (0.2mmol/kg body weight), 20 persons were examined on 3D PC MRA, 10 patients were demonstrasted on DSA. Results There are seven different diseases. 121 arteries were demonstrated, including abdominal aorta 23, right iliac 15,extarnal iliac artery 12, left iliac 15.external iliac artery 13. Among them, Stenosis renal arteries 22, pathologic abdominal aorta 9, iliac 12. 10 cases compared with DSA to evaluate renal arteries stenosis, sensitivity, 100%; specificity,90%; postive predictive value,90.9%; negative predictive value, 100%.Conclusion 3D MRA Bolus Tracking is a effective, fast, overall, reliable method for diagnosis diesease of renal artery, abdominal aorta, iliac. And it proved to be a simple and useful imaging technique.
