| A sol-gel method is used for the preparation of nano-TiO2. TEM, XRD and IR are used for analyses of the phase, composition, structure and properties. Nano-TiO2 has a property of bacterial-resistance by germiculture-experiment. While Nano-apatite (HA) crystals were prepared under different condition, and the structure and properties were investigated. The results indicate that the nano-HA crystals have a similarity in composition, crystal structure, morphology and cryatallinity to that of bone apatite crystals. As prepared, the synthesized nano-HA has a higher reaction activity than the nano-HA set for fifteen days in air .The nano-HA grows with the increasing of the hydrothermal temperature and the reaction activity. The nano-HA crystals are rod-like under pressure and needle-like under normal pressure. Nano-TiO2 has a property of biological corrosion-resistance and bacterial-resistance, while nano-HA has high-absorption activity. Therefore, making use of their advantages, nano-TiO2/HA bacterial-resistance composite is prepared by sol-gel method. TEM, XRD and IR are used for analyses of its phase, composition, structure and properties. Then bacterial-resistance test was done. It showed that HA and TiO2 particles were in nano-size and formed chemical bonding between them, It has a good bacterial-resistance effect(e.g. to Escherichia coli and Staphylococci aureus ). The nano-composite can be used for oral repair and for sanitary field, making novel inorganic/organic biomedical composite and biomedical composites withbacterial-resistance properties. |
