| Objective The effect of ICB on ununited fracture of tibia was evaluated firstly and its mechanism was discussed.Methods 42 cases of ununited fracture of the tibia were chosen and randomized into two groups, the treatment group (treated with ICB) and the control group (treated with the compressed plate). Every 4 weeks after operation, we took X-ray pictures to detect the bone-reconstruction of fracture and restore of the knee, ankle joint function.Results ICB on ununited -tibia fracture enhanced the callus, its effect was better than the compressed plate, and it was available to knee and ankle joint function restore.Conclusion ICB was designed well. Its fine biomechanical characteristics in fixation for ununited fracture of tibia. The advantages of treating ununitedfracture of tibia with ICB were strong fixation, less tress block, convenient for earlier functional exercises and beneficial to the growth of calluses, easy to be used, and so on. It was a reliable technique for treatment of ununited-tibia fracture. The main mechanism is that it can decrease the width between the section of the fracture, increase grinding of the section of the fracture. It could provide preface and more reliable steadiness with the Splint and earlier function restore. |
