This dissertation consisted of three chapters. The first one is focused on the samarium diiodide promoted organic reactions and their applications in organic synthesis. The second is focused on the ytterbium Trifluoromethethanesulfonate catalyzed organic reactions and their applications in organic synthesis. The last is focused on the applications of bis(trichloromethyl)carbonate in sythesis of Pharmaceuticals and their intermediates.In chapter one, at first, we simply outlined some reactions promoted by samarium diiodide in recent years. And then the intermolecular reductive cyclization reaction of N,N-diethyl-o-nitrobenzenesulfonamide with nitriles promoted by samarium diiodide was studied. 2H-1,2,4-Benzothiadiazine 1,1-Dioxides were prepared in good yields under mild and neutral conditions.In chapter two, firstly, some reactions catalyzed by ytterbium trifluoromethethanesulfonate in recent years were simply outlined. And then we found that ytterbium trifluoromethethanesulfonate is a powerful catalyst for the reaction of amine and ethyl acetate. Amides were prepared in good yields under mild and neutralconditions.In chapter three,we simply outlined the applications ofbis(trichloromethyl)carbonate in synthesis of pharmaceuticals and their intermediates.The preparation of phenyl chloroformate and chloroformic acidl,3-thiazole-5-ylmethyl ester with bis(trichloromethyl)carbonate was studied.The remarkable advantages of the above mentioned reactions are mild, neutraland simple operation, good yields and atom economy. It also meets the demand ofgreen chemistry to the organic reactions.
