| Objectives: To learn some basic information on rural physician's current medical service practice, and analyze existing primary problems so as to provide a decision-making basis for rural health management sector to regulate rural physician's medical service practiceMethods: due to the constraint of research fund, this study randomly chose 63 rural physicians (take up 30.2% of the total number in the research areas) only in 5 towns among 4 counties and cities of Anhui province, and did some investigation on their medical service practice. The data was collected in terms of questionnaires and self-recording which was done by selected physicians themselves on 50 cases successively (every case was required to take the original prescription along) in the form of designed question items. Then establish a database by using FoxPro and input original data, and using SPSS statistical analysis software to review and do statistical analysis on the data. Results: Based on our analysis we discovered: (1)western medicine is main stream of the current rural medical service market, the prospect for the development of traditional Chinese medicine is not optimistic; (2)Medical service fee per capital for rural residents is high, and they also assume high risk financially, (3)overuse of i.v. (Intravenous injection) and i.m. (Intramuscular injection), which give rise to safety concerns on the route of medicine delivery by rural physician. (4)Obviously overuse of drugs, which cause safety concerns on the drug uses by rural physician. Suggestion: in view of the complexity of solving the problems in rural physician's medical service practice, it's difficult to reach our expected goal just by single, partial measures, so an alternative measure is needed, we suggest: (1)improve rural physician's quality through education and training (2)establish a conception of "centered on human" and strengthen the consciousness of "standardized service" (3)purify rural medical service market, and create a good environment for rural medical service market. (4)by using the available resources to strengthen the supervision of rural physician's medical service practice. (5) promote traditional Chinese medicine's development in the rural areas, and boom rural areas' traditional Chinese medicine market. |
