Objective To evaluate the value of angle . weight and way ofcervical spine traction on CPCI and prognosis of cervicalspondylosisMethods: Two hundred patients with cervical spondylosis were typeof neck , nerve root , vertebral artery and mix ,which weredivided into group A(GA,100 patients) using intermittent traction andgroup B(GB,100 patients) using continuous traction. According todifferent position of pathology, GA performed traction of flexion5-15 0, middle , extension 5-150 respectively; GB underwenttraction ofmiddle . The weight of traction of each group was less than15-20% of every patient body weight, of which the time was 20-30 minutes. Patients , which CPCI had changed of 340 patients, were followed up from 1-5 years (mean 2.5 years) intervention group of 100 patients and nonintervention group of 240 patients. Results : Multiple regression analysis showed that three kinds of different angle tractions had statistical significance to rectify the CPCI transformation (P<0.05).The traction of kyphosis 5-150 to CPCI was better than upright position and procuration 5-150.At the range of 15-20% body weight, the regression coefficient was 0.145, P < 0.05. The more larger weight , the better resumption of physiological curvature index. Two kinds of tractions to rectify CPCI had no significance(P > 0.05). Ordinal regression analysis revealed that the change of CPCI was positive correlation with prognosis of cervical spondylosis (regression coefficient 0.946,P<0.0001). The better rectification of CPCI , the better prognosis . The age was negative correlation with prognosis (regression coefficient -0.0435,P<0.05). The more younger thepatients' age , the better prognosis . X examination showed that there were significant difference between cervical spondylosisincidence of intervention groups , nonintervention groups and CPCI disappearance , reverse arcuation incidence (P <0.005). Conclusions: The traction is an effective way to rectify CPCI when we select the rational angle and weight . Cervical physiological curvature index is a significant quota which affect the prognosis of the adolescent cervical physiological curvature index.
