At present, the external stent is one of the most advanced medial appliances in the world. The have clinic applications in America, Germany, Japan, France, but in china, the research and development of it is still underway stage. Moreover, foreign products are very expensive, so clinic applications of the external stent in grass-root units are restricted. In this paper, the author conducts research on selection of the material, the structure of yarn and fabric, knitting technique parameters in order to find out reasonable configuration techniques and to obtain satisfactory external stent with smooth knitting and high medial performance.First, through a great deal of investigation, the author choose the silk, Dacron, PGLA as the material and choose the braiding yard as the structure of yarn, and the weft plain as the structure of fabric.Secondly, the new method of calculating the porosity and radial compliance of the external stent is directed though geometry modeling and mechanics modeling.Thirdly, There are many influences in knitting process. This paper does a lot of research on influence of taking-down tension, sinking tension, and the diameter of yarn. The four factors are separately changed to see about variety of knitting process and shape of the external stent. Laws between them andpreferred values are educed. Latter experiment confirmed the preferred values are precise and practical the regression equations obtained have high precision and can be use in actual production and testing.At last, the external stent get a good effect during the animal model reconstruction and is ready to apply for human being. It also confirmed the efficiency of the external stent.Achievement of this research has high reference value and can be theory of foundation of actual production of knitted.
