| Objection The aim of this study is to observe and compare the electrophysiological effects of Higenamine which is traditional Chinese medicine on sinus node function, include normal sinue node and damaged sinue node , to explore their effect machanism ,and to provide experimented and clinical basis for traditional Chinese medicine curing sick sinue syndrome(SSS).Methods Forty adult mongrel rabbits weighing between 2 and 2.5kg were enrolled at random as study group which were divided into two groups: group 1, that is normal sinue node group, divided into two subgroups: treatment subgroup and control subgroup; group 2, 20 rabbits sinus node were damaged(SND), divided into two subgroups: treatment subgroup and control subgroup, all rabbits, who were enrolled as treatment subgroups, were treated with intravenous Higenamine fluid (0.1mg/kg body weight); all rabbits ,who were enrolled as control subgroups, were treated with intravenous 0.9% Nacl injection 10 ml. after twenty minutes, to record the changes of sinus node recovery time(SNRT),corrected SNRT(SNRTc),total sino-artial conduction time (TSACT) and atrio-ventricular wenckebaeh's block cycle length (AVBCL).Results 1. After intravenous Higenamine injection on rabbits with normal sinus node,SNRT SNRTc BCL and TSACT shortened in treatment subgroup compared with those in control subgroup (t=3.835 t=2.298 t=2.640 t=2.380 p<0.01 p<0.05 P>.05 or p<0.05); Only one appear atrio-ventricular wenckebaeh's block phenomena in control subgroup, AVBCL 250ms, and no one in treatment subgroup. 2.After intravenous Higenamine injection on rabbits with experimental sinus node damage (SND), SNRT SNRTc TSACT BCL AVBCLshortened in treatment subgroup compared with those in control subgroup (T=2.952 t=2.403 t=2.511 t=2.780 p<0.01 p<0.05 p<0.05 or p<0.05 p<0.05);3. The changes of SNRT SNRTc TSACT between treatment subgroup and control sub=group is more remarkable inrabbits with SND than those in rabbits with normal sinus node.(t=4.250 t=3.028 t=5.210 t=3.594p<0.01 p<0.01 p<0.01 p<0.01)after administration of Higenamine injection. Conclusion 1. Higenamine may improve sinus node automaticity and increase sino-atrial and atreio-ventricular conduction of rabbits with normal sinus node and rabbits with SND.2. Electrophysiological effects of Higenamine on damaged sinus node is superior to those on normal sinus node.3. Higenamine is effective in treatment of SSS.4. Accelerating recovery of sinus node automaticity and improme sino-atrial and atreio-ventricular conduction is the electrophysiological mechanism that Higenamine treat SSS. |
