Objective To discuss the forepart alter of Endothelial-dependent vasodilation (EDD) in patients with essential hypertension, explore the elinic meaning of the rule on EDD changing with time. Methods select 1 grade(n=31) and ISH(n=35) patients from patients with essential hypertension, people with high value blood pressure(n=32). The Intima-Media Thickness of carotid artery, endothelial-dependent vasodilation(EDD) of brachial artery, increased percentage of blood flow velocity at hyperemic condition ( Vm) was measured by high resolution B-mode ultrasonograhy, then built increased percentage of blood flow velocity-time curve through measure in many times to discuss the way of EDD changing in people with essential hypertension through comparing with control group(n=38).Results (l)EDDN A Vm > PK RI were significantly different in patients with essential hypertension compared with control group (P<0.01 vs P<0.001) . (2) Intima-Media Thickness of carotid artery was significantly different in patients with essential hypertension compared with control group (P<0.05 vs P<0.001) . (3) The hyperemia time(T) was significantly different in patients with essential hypertension and people with high value blood pressure compared with control group (P<0.01 vs P<0.001) .(4) The hyperemia time (T) was significantly different in people with high value blood pressure compared with patients with 1 grade and SBP patients with essential hypertension. (5) Correlation analyse shows that T value was well correlated withincreased percentage of brachial artery diameter, T value was also well correlated with Intima-Media Thickness of carotid artery.(6) In multiple linear regression stepwise analysis of all the subjects revealed that age, cigarette smoking, systolic blood pressure and distolic blood pressure were independently associated with T value. Conclusions Vascular endothelial dyfunction behaved as reduced reactive hyperemia, shortened hyperemia time and impaired EDD, so increased percentage of brachial artery diameter and blood flow velocity at hyperemic condition can all act as valued parameters in evaluate the vascular endothelial. function. T value and increased percentage of blood flow velocity-time curve can also be used in evaluate the vascular endothelial function. Vascular endothelial dyfunction may correlated with Intima-Media Thickness of carotid artery. Doppler ultrasound can detect the vascular endothelial function harmlessly and simply, which is important in prevent and treat the heart and brain vascular disease...
