Study On The Relationship Between Progressive Stroke And The Active Infection Of Human Cytomegalovirus

Objective: Incidiency of cerebral infarction increase yearly, about 30 percent of it is progressive stroke(PS). The effects of routine therephy for PS can not contol the development of this disease.It is a problem necessary for doctors to study and tackle.Recently ,more and more schoolers pay attention to the probably risk factors for cerebral infarction in order to find a method for controlling Athersclerosis diseases. Especially to the effects of active infection of human cytomegalovirus,herpes simplex virus Chlamydia Pneumonine,Helicobacter Pylori on Athersclerosis diseases. However,there are various opinions on which microbion play role in the process of Athersclerosis diseases.So,ELISA was used for the detection of IgM antibodies against HCMV, HSV-â… ,HSV-â…¡,CP and HP in serum of 56 patients with progressive stroke, Compared with those in 88 patients with complete stroke,in 65 patients with carotid atherosclerosis and in 62 voluntiers as normal control group.To study the probably relationship between CAS CS and/or PS and the active infection of the five spicies microbion.In order to find a new method of treatment for progressive stroke.Methods: ELISA was used for the detection of IgM antibodies against HCMV, HSV-â… ,HSV-â…¡,CP and HP in serum of 56 patients with progressive stroke, Compared with those in 88 patients with complete stroke,in 65 patients with carotid atherosclerosis and in 62 voluntiers as normal control group.Compared the positive rates of IgM antibodies with the control group.Results: In NC CAS CS and PS groups: The positive rates of anti-HCMV IgM antibodies is 6.45%, 29.23%, 38.64%and 58.93 %; The positive rates of anti-HSV-â…  IgM antibodies is 9.68%,10.77%,14.77% and 17.86%; The positive rates of anti- HSV-â…¡IgM antibodies is 8.06%, 9.23%,9.09% and 10.71 % ; The positive rates of anti- CP Ig-M antibodies is 9.68%, 9.23%,9.09% and16.07%,; The positive rates of anti- HP IgM antibodies is 61.29%,49.23%,6023% and 60.71%, respectively. Statistically, there was significant difference of IgM antibodies against HCMV among four groups (X2 =38.204,P=0.001). There were no significant difference of anti-HSV-1 ,anti-HSV-â…¡,anti- CP and anti- HP IgM antibodies among the four groups.Conclusions 1 Active infection of HCMV may be associated with Carotid Atherosclerosis;2 Active infection of HCMV may be associated with Contant Cerebral Infarction3 Active infection of HCMV may be associated with ProgressiveCerebralInfarction4 There were no significant difference of anti-HSV-1,anti-HSV-â…¡,anti- CP and anti- HP IgM antibodies among four groups. Infection of HCMV, HSV-1 ,HSV-â…¡,CP and HP may be associated with Progressive stroke.
