Parameters examined included clinical diagnosis, preoperative preparation, operative access, special catalogue, malignant pheochromocytoma. Results: 39 cases had typically clinical manifestations(87%). The positive sensivity of urinary VMA was 73%, and blood catecholamine was 93%. The accurate rate of tumor localization by B-ultrasonography, CT, MRI was 90%, 96% and 95%. 35 cases were located at adrenal (78%), and 10 cases were located at extra-adrenal(22%). 39 cases were benign pheochromocytoma (87%), and 6 cases were malignant pheochromocytoma (13%). All the cases were resected successfully, and no one was died. Conclusions: The procedures of the qualitative and locative diagnosis ofpheochromocytoma included clinical manifestations, biochemistry examination and imaging investigation. Surgical management was the only means for cure and preoperative preparation was extremely important. There are probability to be potential malignant in Pheochromocytoma, so postoprative long-term follow-up was recommended.
