Objective: To discuss the feasibility of catheter directed thrombolysis for sub-acute and chronic deep venous thrombosis of lower limbs, and to observe whether the effect of the new therapy is superior to the previous one. Methods: We treated 68 patients of sub-acute and chronic deep venous thrombosis of lower extremity. The patients were divided into 3 groups randomly. The first group were treated with catheter directed thrombolysis; the second group were treated with the method of promoting blood flow by removing blood stasis; the third group were treated with anti-cruor and thrombolysis only. Results: The first group, 8 cases were healed, 11 cases were recovered obviously, 2 cases had improvements; the second group, 5 cases were healed, 10 cases were recovered obviously, 7 cases had improvements; the third group, 8 cases were recovered obviously, 12 cases had improvements, 5 cases had no improvements. Conclusion: The therapy of catheter directed thrombolysis and method of promoting blood flow by removing blood stasis were more effective than the anti-cruor and thrombolysis in the treatment of DVT(P<0. 05), the expedite ratio of the vein were increased obviously. And if we use both of the two treatments, the effect will be even better.
