Objection: To study the shortcoming of our medical evacuation system for the wounded from division down in hot and humid environment in southern China and provide some suggestions on it , according to some experiment results about the wound infection and traumatic shock in this environment and the sum-up of past wars and foreign armies.Data and Methods: We analysis the defects and insufficiencies of the sorting of wounded, evacuation means for the wounded, the technique of saving and curing and the environmental conditions of system. Methods include the literature review, the investigation of troops and the methods of logic and strategy. Data includes both some results based on the experiments of animals that have been done by the department of orthopaedics and traumatology of Nanfang hospital and department of hot and humid environment researching of the First Military Medical University and experiences and lessons of medical evacuation system for the wounded from division down in the wars of self-defense counter-attacks of the southwest frontier of China in 1979 and 1984 and US army invading Vietnam. Results and Analysis: Actually, not only wound needs earlier debridement for the wounded in action in ~4 hours, but also the wounded in action needs infusion in 60 minutes according to the characteristics of the wound infection and traumatic shock in hot and humid environment. So, the current systems of earlier debridement for the wounded in action in 6~8 hours in division aid post and infusion in 4 hours in regiment aid post are not in keeping with the requirementsCountermeasures and Suggestions: 1.Classification of the wounded in action must be carried into execution in company rescue group in order to divide out the severe wounded in time for earlier debridement and infusion; 2.Cancelling the battalion aid post, reducing echelon medical aid, increasing the speed of evacuation; 3.Increasing the number and quantity of means of transportation for the wounded; 4.0ptimizing the comfortable adaptability of aid stations, reducing the effect of mic-hot and humid environment; 5.Improving technique of anti-wound infection and anti-traumatic shock, medical aiding availably for the wounded in time.
