The clinical treatment of peripheral facial paralysis using acupuncture was observed. All the 41 patients were randomly divided into treatment group(n=21) and control group(n=20). After treatment, of the 21 cases in treatment group, 19 cases were cured, 2 experience improvement, and no ore has no apparent changes, with a total effective rate of 90.5%. In control group, of the 20 cases, 16 were cured, 4 have improvement, and no one failed in the treatment, with a total effective rate of 80%. There was a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). The therapeutic effect of acupuncture methods is better than that of control treatment for facial paralysis.
