Objective To analyze the current treatment of the acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction in the First Affiliated hospital, Xinjiang Medical University during the past two years and its evaluation. Methods Adopting the retropspection survey means, to analyze all diagnosed case history data and to assess the current treatment of the acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction in the First Affiliated hospital, Xinjiang Medical University during the past two years Results 1. During the past two years there are 221 cases of acute myocardial infarction who were admitted by the First Affiliated hospital, Xinjiang Medical University. Among all 221 cases of acute myocardial infarction, 192 cases are ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction and take a percentage of 86.88%. Among them 50 patients were treated by no reperfusion therapy, which takes a percent of 26.04% of all patients as well as 104 patiets were treated by reperfusion therapy, which takes a percentage of 73.96% of all patients. Among all cases received reperfusion therapy , 83 cases were treated by fibrinolytic therapy (58. 45%) ; 101 cases were treated by percutaneous coronary intervention (71. 13%) 2. There is a significant difference between no reperfusion therapy group and reperfusion therapy group on major in-hospital adverse cardiac events and mortality. Conclusions 1 In the First Affiliatedhospital, Xinjiang Medical University the ratio of fibrinolytic therapy is higher than the other reperfusion therapies. Among all of reperfusion therapies the ratio of emergency percutaneous coronary intervention is the lowest. 2. Reperfusion therapy can reduce the major in-hospital adverse cardiac events and mortality.
