Objective: To investigate the expression of TNF-relat-ed apoptosis inducing ligand (TRAIL),DCR2/TRAILR4,DR4/TRAILR1,Caspase-3 and NF-κB in gastric carcinomasurrounding tissues and normal stomachic tissues, and to probe into the possible mechanism of TRAIL inducing tumor cells'apoptosis but not in normal stomachic tissu-es 。To analyse the founction of DCR2/TRAILR4,DR4/TRAILR-1,Caspase-3 and NF-κB in the mechanism of TRAIL. Methods: To examine the expression of TRAIL Dc-R1/TRAILR4,DR4/TRAILR1,Caspase-3 and NF-κB in 44 cases of gastric cancer,surrouding tissues and 11cases of normal gastric tissues by Immunohistochemical stainingS-P method,All the samples were obtained from patients who underwent gastric cancer operation in the gastro-intes-tinal department of surgery, the second hospital, HeBei-Medical University (None accepted anti-tumor therapy) .which were examined by the pathology department。Results: the level of TRAIL ,DR4 and NF-κB were obv-iously different in different tissue(P<0.05) which are corre-lated to the distance from the tumor tissues ,the TRAIL's level is related to the tumor cell's differentiation ,but none correlated to the gender, the ages, tumor's size,the tumor's stages, the tumor's corrosive depth,the histology-cal types or whether the tumor cells have been metastasis. Conclusion: TRAIL may play an important pole in the apoptosisi of stomach carcinoma's cells, TRAIL and wh-ose receptors's distribution may be the base of mecha-nism.TRAIL,DcR2/TRAIL4,DR4/TRAILR1,Caspase-3 and NF-κB may be the joints of the mechanism.
