Nano-Hydroxyapatite coatings were successfully prepared on titanium substratesusing the double potential steps technique. During the electrodepositing,the frequencyshifts at Au/QCM electrode have been measured with electrochemical quartz crystalmicrobalance technique,and the electrodepositing processes have been also discussed forthe first time. Scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,IR spectra and Ramanspectra were used to characterize the morphology and structure of coatings. The bioactiveof coatings were also investigated in SBF solution.Firstly,The coatings were deposited in electrolytes containing Ca(NO3)2 andNH4H2PO4 with successive double potential step techniques at 60oC. Various equipments,such as the SEM, FTIR and Raman spectroscopy were used to characterize themorphology and structure. The results show that different deposit time affects theelectrodeposition process and the coatings quality. The nano scale hydroxyapatite can beobtained with the given experimental conditions.In biomineralization,Organo-macromolecule can adjust the form and growth ofcrystal nucleus of inorganics. These big molecules conclude protein, polysaccharide,glycogenic. The Chitosan have been added to electrolytic solution to adjust the formationand crystal nucleus growth of HA, because the chitosan has the special characteristics ofbiodegradation and biocompatibility,and it contains massive –NH3 group. Scanningelectron microscopy (SEM), FTIR and Raman spectroscopy were used to characterize themorphology and structure. More uniform and pyknic coatings have been obtained. Theresults show that chitosan can affect the morphologies and structure of HA.At the same time,the higher adherent strength of Nano-Hydroxyapatite coatingswere obtained with treated Titanium in alkaline solution,due to its physical and chemicalstructure change.
