Backgrounds and ObjectsAngiogenesis plays crucial role in the development, invasion and metastasis of tumors. Researches indicate that any solid tumors cant grow beyond 2 3mm~3 without angiogenesis. Hepatocellular carcinoma ( HCC ) acquires resistance to chemotherapeutic drugs easily. Various methods, such as operation, transarteri-al embolization, percutaneous ethanol intratumoral injection, orthotopic hepatic transplantation have been used for treating HCC, but none of them is satisfactory. It has been reported that antiangiogenesis can lower the drug resistance compared with conventional therapies and is considered as a promising method a-gainst HCC. Many studies confirmed that ACEI has antiangiogenesis activity, and can inhibit the growth of hepatoma and the expression of VEGF, decrease the incidence of carcinoma at low doses. Our study is set to test the effect of ACEI perindopril ( PE) in combination with conventional chemotherapeutic drug, epirubicin, on transplanted hepatoma H22 in mice, aiming at probe novel approach to tumor treatment on the basis of PE.MethodsThe model of transplanted hapatoma H22 in mice was used to evaluate the therapeutic effect of PE EP combination. The drugs were administered 24h or 96 h after tumor inoculation. PE 2 mg / kg was given by daily gavage; EP 10 mg / kg was injected intraperitoneally only once. The tumor volume was measured at fixed intervals. CDI was used to detect whether these two drugs combination...
